Teaching seniors to use technology

Using a computer is something most of us take for granted. We either grew up learning with computers in school, or taught ourselves at home. It is easy to forget that many seniors do not have a computer because they believe that "it is too complicated" when in fact having basic skills would enhance their quality of life. I feel that this is especially true of seniors who no longer drive or who live away from other family members. I hope that this blog can assist seniors to gain some basic computer knowledge and enable them to be able to do simple things such as safely browse the web, send and receive e-mail and even join in online forums and chat rooms. Learning how to shop and buy things in a safe and secure manner would also be a benefit.
